Meet the Author
Glenn A. Leibowitz is the author of Albert Einstein: The World's Most Famous Scientist, the first book in Jewish Stars, a new series of illustrated biographies written and designed to inspire Jewish pride in young readers ages 9–13.
Glenn is also the founder of Jewish Life Press, an independent publishing imprint dedicated to telling the stories of Jewish people, ideas, and achievements that have shaped our world. Jewish Stars is the first initiative of this new imprint.
A writer, community builder, and passionate advocate for Jewish education, Glenn has been actively involved in strengthening Jewish community life in Taiwan for more than 15 years. He served on the board of the Taiwan Jewish Community and subsequently as communications director and the first CEO of the nonprofit Jewish Taiwan Cultural Association (JTCA).
Working closely with JTCA founders Jeffrey D. Schwartz and his late wife, NaTang, Glenn helped establish Taiwan's first permanent Jewish community center, a $15 million facility that has become an important home for Jewish culture, education, religious observance, and community gatherings.
In recognition of his contributions, Glenn received the Austrian Holocaust Memorial Award, alongside the center's co-founders. Presented by Austrian Service Abroad, the award recognized their collective efforts to preserve and promote Jewish culture and heritage in Taiwan.
Since 2021, Glenn has contributed articles to The Times of Israel on Jewish identity, history, culture, and religious observance. His writing reflects his longstanding interest in Jewish heritage and the importance of passing Jewish knowledge and traditions from one generation to the next.
As the father of two adult children who grew up in Asia, Glenn understands the importance of nurturing a strong Jewish identity, particularly for families living far from major Jewish population centers. Both of his children received a Jewish education and celebrated their bar and bat mitzvahs in Taipei.
These personal experiences helped inspire Jewish Stars. Through the series, Glenn introduces young readers to remarkable Jewish individuals whose curiosity, courage, determination, and creativity helped change the world. Each biography explores not only their accomplishments but also their Jewish identities, the challenges they faced, and the values that shaped their lives.
Glenn hopes these stories will encourage young readers to discover the richness of Jewish history, appreciate the contributions of Jewish people across generations, and develop a lasting sense of Jewish pride.
Beyond his work in Jewish education and publishing, Glenn writes extensively about communication, leadership, and professional development. Recognized as a LinkedIn Top Voice for four consecutive years, he has built an extensive global following.
Glenn holds a BA cum laude from Cornell University, an MA from Yale University, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
